| Full Original Serenity Prayer by Reinhold Niebuhr (1892-1971) God, give us grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardships as a pathway to peace, Taking, as Jesus did, This sinful world as it is, Not as I would have it, Trusting that You will make all things right, If I surrender to Your will, So that I may be reasonably happy in this life, And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen. | Current Version The Serenity Prayer God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonable happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen |

| By Joie Lehman Once Upon A Time ... for a short period of time, I resided in Commerce, Georgia. My husband, (ex) was working the pipeline, so we resided in a little travel trailer located at the local KOA camp. Flipping channels on a Sunday morning, I discovered a channel broadcasting from the city of Atlanta, Georgia. The broadcast was a church service, with Pastor Charles Stanley. I had never heard of the man, but as I began listening to his sermon, I realized that he is not preaching at the people, but rather teaching. Being very paranoid from my childhood experiences, I learned many years ago, sometimes what we conceive to be truth, is not truth. Many men will teach lies telling you that it is the truth they speak. We must all have a discerning heart and soul to seek out true wisdom and not be caught up in the deceiving lies of others who speak. Wearing the disguise of the lamb, they are truly the wolves, with intentions to destroy us spiritually. Therefore prior to any Prayer, or Bible study, I begin in prayer, asking the Lord to bring me wisdom, to know the difference, not to hear the truth of what I want it to be, or what others tell me is truth, but to be able to recognize the truth of the Spirit, and and know it is so. |
My Sunday school lessons taught by Dr.Charles Stanley became a day I always looked forward to. His gift of teaching spiritual truth, opened my heart to learn and discover wonderful wisdom's given by our Heavenly Father. When our stay in Commerce, Georgia ended, I was a bit dismayed, that I would no longer be able to enjoy the gifts of Dr. Stanley’s teachings. Several months later, we found ourselves back home in California. Amazingly enough, Dr Charles Stanley was now broadcasting nationally! Or perhaps he had been, but I was not aware of it prior. Yes, from Atlanta, now into my home in California! It has been a good, maybe 20 years later since that time spent in Georgia, but I still try to catch the Sunday morning broadcast with Dr Charles Stanley and I thank the Lord for giving such gifts and words of wisdom. I share this story because I will on occasion share articles written by Dr Charles Stanley, and links to the “In Touch Ministries,” as I personally believe, he is a man of truth and wisdom, guided by our Spiritual Heavenly Father. |

It is bad enough just to be 14. It is bad enough as a woman experiencing the 'Curse' under normal circumstance. She has been enduring the heavy curse now for 6 weeks, non stop! The doctor prescribed birth control 2 weeks ago, after one week and still no help, I called them and they suggested she double up on the pills. It did not stop it and only caused her to run out before her 30 day prescription and insurance will not cover a new prescription until the 30 days expire. Her doctor said they were going to try to get an authorization for a new rx as it is medically necessary and they will try something stronger. She has a doctor's appointment this morning, please pray for some resolution for Valerie. She is having a rough time and not feeling well at all. She may possibly be anemic due to all of this, which we will find out today as well. The problem with strong pills, they contain a higher level of male hormones, which she already has an excess of now. I have gone through all of this myself and I know the suffering and problems these ovarian cysts do cause for many of us. Many women do have this disease, however the complexity and severity of the disease differ with each one of us. As there is no cure in the hands of man, only treatment, please pray for the divine cure, as all is possible through our Lord. And, please pray that the physicians can help her immediately! She is one big hormonal mess and as you all know, that does affect us physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Do you find this valuable?
